Product details

The GenuPoint® stabilizes and guides the patellar tendon during loading. The narrow, anatomically contoured brace sits under the kneecap and provides relief thanks to a special functional element with pressure points.

Soft knitted fabric that is only elastic in one direction guarantees a secure fit and maximum freedom of movement.

A VELCRO® Brand Fastening System on both sides allows the relieving compression to be adjusted to individual needs when the brace is put on.

Size chart - all measurements in cm
Size Below kneecap
1 28-30
2 30-35
3 35-44

Between two sizes? Take the smaller one - a support needs to sit snug to give you the compression that does the work.

I am disappointed with my knee strap and will look to returning it. I find it hurts the back of my leg and doesn’t support my Patella which is the reason I bought it. Also the product label attached to the strap often impedes the Velcro when being attached.

Hi Timothy, sorry to hear the GenuPoint isn't sitting right for you. Discomfort behind the leg usually points to a fit or positioning issue, so please drop orders@jointoperations.co.uk a line and our customer service team will arrange a replacement or exchange. We've also passed your note about the label catching the Velcro to our product team. The Bauerfeind Team

Not worth the money

Having tried many different knee braces over several years, when I found the GenuPoint Knee Strap on the internet l was sceptical that it would be any better than the others, well I was surprised to find that it is, not just slightly, but it’s noticeable relieved the arthritic discomfort in my knee, so I definitely recommend this appliance.

Good for - sit really tight. Used them to do sports and not suiting out my shin splints. Could be easier to put them on and the price is a little high compared to other products - that’s why there are only 4 stars.

Common questions

The things people ask us most before ordering.

What happens if I order the wrong size?

Send it back within 30 days for a full refund, or email orders@jointoperations.co.uk and we'll swap it for the right size.

Measuring before you order is the quickest route - the size finder on this page turns two tape-measure numbers into a size in about twenty seconds.

Can I wear it under clothing?

Yes. The knit is low-profile and designed to sit under trousers, leggings or a tracksuit without bunching. Most people wear it all day without anyone noticing.

How do I wash it?

Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle with any fasteners closed. No fabric softener and no tumble drying - dry it flat, away from direct heat.

Washing it regularly actually helps: it lifts the body oils out of the knit and the compression holds its shape for longer.

How long should I wear it for?

Most people wear a support during activity and take it off to sleep. If a clinician recommended it to you, follow their guidance - they'll have a plan for your particular situation.

If you've bought it yourself for ongoing pain and you're not sure, it's worth getting the underlying problem looked at rather than relying on the support alone.

When will it arrive?

Standard delivery takes 3-4 working days and is free on orders over £95. Order before 12:30pm Monday to Thursday for next-day delivery.

Orders placed before 12:30pm on a working day are dispatched the same day; after the cut-off, or at the weekend, they go out on the next working day.

Can I claim it back on insurance or through work?

Some private health policies and occupational health schemes cover orthopaedic supports when they've been recommended by a clinician. We can send an itemised VAT invoice for your claim - just email us with your order number.

Can I buy wholesale for my clinic or shop?

Yes. We're the UK distributor for Bauerfeind, and we supply retailers, clinics, pharmacies and physiotherapy practices directly. Send us a trade enquiry and we'll come back with pricing and account terms.
